To Obtain A Free Tutoring Listing...

If you would like to become a listed tutor on the bctutors.org Bulletin Board, this website is here to help you advertise your tutoring services; free of charge.  Our rules are simple...

• You must provide personalized tutoring service and meet with your clients face-to-face.  Internet, telephone-only, or online tutoring listings are not allowed on bctuors.com.
• You must be a permanent resident of Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach county Florida.
• You must offer your tutoring services to students of the South Florida educational community including one or more of the college campuses of BC (Broward College), FAU, FIU, Miami Dade, or Nova Southeastern.

As we make no attempt to contact tutors to qualify (or disqualify) them from having their tutoring services listed on this website, only those tutors who have posted an "approved" flyer at any one of the above listed college campuses are eligible to have their tutoring services automatically listed on bctutors.org free of charge.  What this means is that we leave it up to each university to determine who can become an "approved" tutor.  In most cases, you have to fill out a form provided by your department, have it signed by the department head, and forward the completed form to the Student Activities office where it will be kept on file.  Once your form is accepted by Student Activities, they will acknowledge you as an "approved" tutor and post your tutoring flyers on designated tutoring bulletin boards.  (Note: Most colleges and universities prohibit tutors from posting their own flyers.)  Once we see your "approved" tutoring flyer posted at any one of the South Florida college campuses listed above, you will automatically become listed on this website.

If your "approved" flyer has been posted for quite some time and you STILL don't see your name listed on this website, you can submit your listing to us by E-mail.  To do so... please send us your name, contact telephone number, course specialty, and a brief description of your tutoring services.  Please also let us know if you would like to include your email address and website (if you have one) in your listing.  And although not required but STRONGLY recommended, you should also attach to your E-Mail... 1.) A scanned copy of your "approved" tutoring flyer... and 2.)  A copy of your "Application to Become an Approved Tutor;" signed by your department head.  (This is the document you must have on file with the Student Activities office in order to become an "approved" tutor at most universities.)  Please send your submission in an E-Mail to: email11 (at no spam) bctutors.org, (replace (at no spam) with @) indicating your intentions to become a listed tutor.  In your E-mail, please be sure to include your full name AND STREET ADDRESS, your telephone number, your course/specialty, and a brief description of your tutoring services.  Once we receive your request, we will contact you by telephone to confirm your free tutoring listing.  SO BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER.  E-mail requests without a telephone number and/or street address cannot be processed.

To Purchase A Sponsored Listing...

If you wish to avoid the time and hassle of becoming an "approved tutor" and wish to get listed right away, consider purchasing a "Sponsored Listing" and have your tutoring services highlighted at the top of the list within a given category.  History has shown that students seeking a tutor will usually call only the first few names on the top of the list... And tutors who purchase a Sponsored Listing are the tutors who usually get called first.  Rates are $100 per calendar year quarter (or any part thereof), per listing, and only one Sponsored Listing is allowed per category.  To obtain a Sponsored Listing in any currently available category, please send an E-mail to: email11 (at no spam) bctutors.org, (replace (at no spam) with @) indicating your intentions to become a sponsored tutor in your desired category along with a brief description of how you would like your listing to read.  Once we approve your listing, we will send you an E-mail reply with instructions on how to pay for your listing using PayPal.  As a reminder, your ad should confirm to the following format below...

As a suggestion, please review the website listings under your desired section to get an idea on how to draft your ad.  Also note that tutoring fees are not permitted to appear in your ad as per bctutors.org policy and only one Sponsored Listing is allowed per category.  Please also note that we reserve the right to edit/reject any ad.

Note: If the category in which you would like to obtain a Sponsored Listing is already taken, we encourage you check back often and/or send an E-mail to: email11 (at no spam) bctutors.org, (replace (at no spam) with @) indicating your intentions to purchase a Sponsored Listing in a given category if and when that category becomes available.  As sponsored tutors often choose not to renew, or simply forget to renew since we DO NOT send renewal reminder notifications, your desired category just might become available in the future.

If you are a listed tutor and desire to have your name removed from our website list, please send an E-mail to: email11 (at no spam) bctutors.org, (replace (at no spam) with @) including your name and telephone number so that we can contact you by telephone to confirm your request.  PLEASE BE SURE THAT THE PHONE NUMBER YOU PROVIDE IN YOUR E-MAIL IS THE SAME AS THE PHONE NUMBER AS LISTED ON THIS WEBSITE.  This way, we can be sure that someone else may not be inappropriately attempting to delete your listing.
